The Frida Kahlo Museum (Spanish:Museo Frida Kahlo), also known as the Blue House due to its cobalt blue walls, is a historic house and art museum dedicated to Mexican artist Frida Kahlo's life and work.

This museum, which was once Frida Kahlo's home, is located in Mexico City's Colony del Carmen neighbourhood of Coyoacan.


History
Frida Kahlo was born on July 6, 1907, in this building. It is also the home where she grew up with her husband, Diego Rivera. On July 13, 1954, he died in a room on the top floor of this house. Diego Rivera gave the house and its contents to be turned into a museum in Frida's honour in 1958.


Contents
The museum houses artworks by Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera, and other artists, as well as Mexican handicrafts and folk art, photographs, memorabilia, personal items, and other items. Frida Kahlo's ashes are also kept in an urn in this museum. The collection is displayed in the house's rooms, which date from the 1950s. It is the most popular museum in Coyoacan and one of Mexico's most visited museums.
