The San Diego Zoo is a zoo in San Diego, California, located in Balboa Park. It is home to over 12,000 animals from over 650 species, including subspecies, and is located on 100 acres (40 ha) of Balboa Park leased from the City of San Diego. The San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, its parent organisation, is a private non-profit conservation organisation. It has the world's largest zoology membership organisation, with over 250,000 member families and 130,000 child members.

Inside the Zoo, to the left of the Bus Tour entrance, is our Guest Services booth. Every day until closing.
Visitors with Disabilities
All visitors are welcome at the San Diego Zoo. We offer a number of services to assist guests with disabilities in enjoying their visit. For guests with disabilities, the Zoo provides special parking, restrooms, and access to shows, tour buses, and exhibits. Please keep in mind that there are some steep grades in the Zoo. Inside the Zoo, a free ADA shuttle service is available for guests with mobility issues. Guests who use mobility aids should consult the Zoo map for ADA pathways and elevators.
