Little Rock Zoo The Little Rock Zoo was established in 1926 and is located in Little Rock, Arkansas. It is home to over 725 animals representing over 200 species and spans 33 acres (13 ha). History In 1926, the Little Rock Zoo began with only two animals: an abandoned timber wolf and a circus-trained bear. It has grown over the years to include 725 animals representing over 200 species.
